People, it's Tickets version 2.6A beta, a free (really!) Open Source
CAD package that has gotten a good bit of attention in some circles.
It's got too many goodies to list here, but it includes mapping, an
APRS interface, location lookup with geo-coding, driving directions,
statistics, bla, bla, bla ... . This version includes an upgraded unit-
to-incident capability, some performance improvements, and a rather
impressive EM Cards package.
It's built from the usual OSS suspects, PHP and MySQL, plus the GMaps
API.
Version 2.6A beta is now available for download from SourceForge -
along with Bob Austin's web-server-installation wiki, etc. - at (watch
for line breaks)
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=145201&package_id=170510&release_id=587989
There's a kick-the-tires installation with a guest login at
http://www.saefern.org/tickets/
There's a Tickets-specific discussion grp at
http://groups.google.com/group/open-source-cad
Admittedly, it's not for everyone. But if you can use a solid middle-
weight CAD package that you can tailor to your team's needs and have
like a zero budget for it, I'm not aware of anything like it.
